Lessn.ext

Lessn has been updated to 1.0.6 (now 1.0.7) and now supports manually-added extensions on Lessn’d urls. That means you can save two characters when responsibly linking to media on Twitter. Instead of saying:

yo dawg heard you like @saltercane so I made a cover http://shaun.in/g/af for yesterday’s cover http://shaun.in/g/ae (mp3) so you’re covered

you can now say:

yo dawg, heard you like @saltercane so I made a cover http://shaun.in/g/af for yesterday’s cover http://shaun.in/g/ae.mp3 so you’re covered!

Punctuation!

Adding an extension to a shortened url might seem counter intuitive but when character count and type of content are important a familiar extension leaves the smallest footprint.
