Image to Data Droplet for OS X

While I’ll probably be using this TexMate bundle for my base64 image encoding needs, Jon reminded me that not everyone uses TextMate. So I’ve decided to share the AppleScript droplet that I’ve been using until now.

Download, unzip and add the droplet to your desktop, Dock, or Finder window toolbar (just hold the app over the toolbar until a green plus icon appears). Once you’ve done that there’s nothing to open and nothing to copy. Just drag any gif, jpg or png onto the droplet and the base64 encoded data is automatically added to clipboard. Paste away.
