Geometry of the Mint logo
This is one of those things that I have always meant to blog about but never made the time for. A Flickr is worth a thousand words.
DINcing with the Stars
The use of DIN sans leading in the new New York City Ballet logo is a tad uninspired. That said, if anything could get me into a seat at the ballet, it would probably be DIN.

Veerle’s What is Graphic Design? Poster Competition
There’s already a lot of great work in the Flickr pool and there appears to be plenty of cool prizes to go around too. I threw something together this morning. What are you waiting for?
FancyZoom 1.0

Burden
The strong have always been burdened by the weak. It may not always seem fair, but helping where you can is “the right thing to do.” In the case of the ongoing X-UA-Compatible bluster, the strong are the savvy standardistas. The weak? Those who simply don’t know any better. The burden? A single meta tag or http header. Can we move on now?

Minimalist Web Design Showcase
Perishable Press reviews ShaunInman.com in the context of their minimalist design series with a mini-interview at the end. I’m obviously biased but I thought it was an interesting read.

Mint on Web App Charts
The original Mint lands at number seven in the list of top ten web apps after heavy-hitters like Gmail, Facebook and Wordpress and is the only stats app to make it onto the list. Not too shabby. Thanks everyone who voted!
