Song Summoner Music × (Squenix + RPG) = frickin’ genius. I though about doing something similar as a Mint Pepper a while back. Mapping data from each of the default panes to different stats—Referrers to strength, Pages to agility, Searches to intelligence and Visits to hit points (obviously)—and then pitting Mint installations against each other. Shoulda-woulda-coulda.

Exit Music VideoSong Jack Conte mashes Radiohead and Chopin. Only rules? “What you see is what you hear and if you hear it, at some point you see it.” Rad. Just wish it wasn’t abridged and that he hadn’t dragged out the “We hope your rules…” line. 

Amnesiac Quartet A French jazz quartet covering I Might Be Wrong and A Wolf at the Door. The “Added” date suggetst this might have made the rounds more than a year ago—but it’s new to me. Nothing since, unfortunately. 

Requiem for a Day Off Trailer for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off cut to Clint Mansell’s brilliant but oft-abused Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a Dream. 

They Might Be Donuts The things you miss residing in Krispy Kreme Country (or when you don’t watch tv/listen to the radio)—like They Might Be Giants doing jingles for Dunkin’ Donuts commercials. 

Shredder How many US Air Guitar regional champs do you know? 

Big Ideas (Don’t get any) Brilliant remix of Radiohead’s Nude (likely my favorite song on In Rainbows). I think dot-matrix percussion is extremely underutilized. See also: Don’t Explain (opens in iTunes) from the original Verve Remix album. (via) 

Battlestar Galactica Concert Videos I love Bear’s blog. We’re intentionally straggling this season (better control of cliff-hanger resolution) so I haven’t read his recent musical posts (spoilers ahoy!) but I am looking forward to them.
